Scented Rooms is an experimental documentary, filmed on 35mm film. It's an investigation of poetic-political storytelling in the form of a documentary film. Through a phenomenological insight into the components of cinema, photography and literature, the film acts as an agent in the recreation of public memory through a shutdown theatre.
It was Shauheen Daneshfar's master's thesis in Film and Media at Stockholm University of the Arts, selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2023.
"Devoted to Light" was my BA thesis project as a cinematography student at Tehran University of Dramatic Arts. I made this film with having the role of the producer, director and cinematographer. The film was shot on 16mm film and had a private screening at the commemoration ceremony of Ali Loghmani, the praised professor and DOP of Iranian cinema. He is the main character of the film. (2019)
"The Maids" is an art video created, directed and photographed by Shauheen Daneshfar, on the play by jean Jenet and a performance by Akbar Alizad in 2018, in Tehran, Iran. The video and the performance aimed to metaphorically talk about transsexuality and the working class.

"Without Even Talking to Me" was a silent poetic short film based on "Le Déjeuner du matin" a poem by Jacques Prévert.
This was my first film as a writer, director and producer, and my main goal was to create a magical realism atmosphereand create the fantacy and anonnomyty which was present in the poem itself. The film was shown in several film festivals such as Tehran Internationam Short Film Festival.
